For this Chemistry Graduate Teaching Assistant position, we are looking for an innovative and intelligent Chemistry graduate who has the drive to preserve their desire to increase responsibilities as their duties multiply. You will arrive with an empathetic side to you that is sensitive to the needs of all pupils. Ideally, the school need a graduate who is able to be a fast learner and make the most of their position and inspire pupils at all times.
In this exciting Chemistry Graduate Teaching Assistant position you will be working primarily within the innovative Science Department and you will be progressing your abilities with the guidance of a committed Head of Science. By listening carefully to the advice of your mentor, an experienced Senior Teacher, you will be in the perfect position to develop key teaching skills. You will be joining a successful department that is loved throughout the school, due to the excellent quality of teachers who combine pastoral and academic guidance. Your particular activities will include working closely with the pupils identified as in need of extra-class support in 1:1 sessions and groups. As part of your general responsibilities you will be required to support the class on an ad hoc basis, becoming available for further duties if you have the time. In this post you will be getting a first hand glimpse behind the scenes of teaching, helping to plan and prepare lessons.
