We have a vacancy for a Technologist to work in our Chemical and Analytical Technology Business Centre, which serves many industries including PPE, footwear, toys and the automotive sector.
The role involves regular customer liaison to advise and agree appropriate chemical testing work programs, planning and scheduling of testing, discussing results with customers and producing accurate detailed reports to strict deadlines. After sufficient training, the successful candidate will be required to deliver presentations and have face-to-face meetings with customers, which may involve overseas travel.
Candidates must have at least 'A’ level qualifications in a science subject and ideally mathematics. A degree level qualification in chemistry or related subject would be desirable. The successful candidate should be familiar with chemical instrumentation such as GC-MS, UV-Vis and FT-IR; have excellent communication and organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
