Our client, a busy electronic chemicals manufacturer, is seeking a Chemical Production Technician due to company growth. An excellent company to work for, they operate a 24/5 production schedule.
Working a rotating shift, the Chemical Production Technician will be responsible for the development of electronic components from chemical materials. Daily duties include setting and adjusting machine controls, observing and monitoring production progress, loading machines with raw product ready for production, inspecting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions and requesting equipment repairs. You will also be involved with delivering continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that all production reports are accurate.
The successful candidate will have experience of either mechanical or maintenance work, and will have previous experience handling chemicals. Your interpersonal skills must be great, and you must be able to demonstrate an excellent level of attention to detail. Flexibility is essential as you will be working shifts across a 24/5 shift pattern (no weekends). An understanding of process control and Statistical Process Control would also be an advantage.
