Brigg Scientific are looking to recruit a Chemical Maintenance Engineer for one of their chemical manufacturing clients in the north-west. You will be a "hands-on" multi-disciplined engineer providing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs within an industrial manufacturing site. Experience of fabrication and welding is essential as you maintain equipment including batch reactors, conveyors, robotics, pumps, boilers and associated plant infrastructure. This role commands a salary in the region of £35k and a generous company benefits package.
Successful candidates will ideally be qualified in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 3 years experience of undertaking repairs and servicing within a dynamic industrial environment. You will need to demonstrate your problem-solving and fault-finding ability and propose cost-effective corrective actions. Working within a physically demanding plant duties may also include Fork Lift Truck operation and manual handling around the facility, so adherence to company health and safety protocols is fundamental to the role.
