With a reputation that is second to none within Food service and gastronomy, this is a specialist role selling in to the new up and coming chefs and restaurants in the London area.
Working with the Customer Service Manager, you will supervise a small Customers Service & Sales Team ensuring that all day-to-day activities run efficiently and smoothly, while taking ownership of marketing and selling projects. You will be leading a new project to develop telephone sales to new and existing customers. The successful candidate will be strong and , and someone that can inspire and organise the dedicated team. The goal is to increase sales and customer satisfaction, consistently exceeding expectations.

The Customer Service & Sales Supervisor

  • Helping to develop and implement a Telephone Sales Strategy for the UK
  • Coaching, inspiring and motivating the Customer Service & Sales Team
  • Sales training, development, and performance management
  • Ensuring the team meets their calls targets
  • Reporting to the Customer Service Manager - including daily, weekly and monthly reports based on sales and targets
  • Liaising with Sales Director and Marketing to optimise new projects and strategies
  • Growth of sales to a set target, particularly with Customer Service customers
  • Ensuring that product knowledge, and new brand knowledge, is excellent throughout the team
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers
  • High levels of customer service; problem solving, order accuracy and handling enquiries
  • Monitoring calls for quality assurance
  • Be point of contact for team members and help with escalated cases
  • Seeking out new business opportunities and passing the larger leads to the New Business & Account Management team
  • Enabling the team to deliver the highest standard of customer service
  • Disciplined use of customer data, including collection and feedback
  • Create and sustain a positive team environment displaying high levels of motivation and excellent team spirit
  • Take ownership of improvements within new current telesales processes and tools
  • Providing a strong communication link between all internal departments


  • Excellent people leadership, coaching and motivation skills
  • Sales experience, ideally within the food industry
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent customer awareness and focus
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Creative, innovative and forward thinking
  • Experience of creating and managing strategies for increasing sales
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal relationships
  • Analytical and efficient approach to work
  • Good IT skills, in particular Excel, ERP, phone systems and CRM
  • Strong decision making and problem solving capabilities
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Experience in improving and/or changing internal procedures
  • An interest in food and food industry
