We are recruiting for a Chef Manager based at a 24 hour, 7 day operation in the Didcot area. The unit is a business and industry site offering a breakfast, lunchtime afternoon/evening and night service. The role is predominantly Monday - Friday 7am-4pm however you will be required to undertake some evening and weekend working.
About the role:
Day to day the role involves you managing a team of staff across different shift patterns, your main purpose is making sure the unit runs smoothly this will involve- cooking/food preparation, collating and creating menus, costing's and finances, audits, ordering and client meetings. As the Chef Manager you will report into the Group Operations Manager. We are looking for candidates with a background of Chef Management within a Business and Industry site- ideally from a unit that operates 24/7
Servest pride ourselves on delivering a diverse range of fresh foods whilst adding value to the food offering, we are looking for Chef Managers who are creative in the kitchen, strong managers and who are happy to converse both front and back of house.
As Chef Manager you will need to have the following:
*A background as a Chef Manager or Head Chef within Business and Industry Catering
*Experience in managing a team of at least 10
*Ideally experience in a unit which offers services across the day and night with an onsite capacity of around 400+
*Quality cooking standards whilst being conscious of the set budgets
*The ability to lead by example and build a team
*A strong craft background
*Superb customer service skills
*Financial awareness with the ability to manage budgetary lines
