As Chef manager you will look after a solid team whom are working hard to produce an excellent level of food and service, and don't need a great deal of help and support as are dedicated but are keen for a Chef Manager to join them and assist them in taking the site forward.
working 37.50 hours per week, term time only this Chef manager role would suit a chef manager whom is keen to remain hands on with day to day cooking, but also that is able to ensure the ordering, stock control and general management of the team.
Day to Day client is based on site at the school and whom is really supportive, will have input into the recruitment of this role.
Chef manager- The role
-working Monday to Fri 7am to 3pm
-responsible for running of a smooth and efficient kitchen team
-working term time only contract.
-hands on cooking and menu planning
- ordering and daily controls
-weekly accounts/ bookwork as per company direction.
- following all policy and procedures as set out by the school and company
Chef Manager- your experience
-At least two years experience working within school kitchens
- ideally some experience of working within a Jewish school/ culture
-Fully qualified chef
-Fresh food background and experience
-School kitchen roles totalling two years.
-Previous experience of Chef Manager role
-Knowledge of bookwork and stock control
If you have the required chef manager experience and have worked at this level within contract caterers, you will also need to be eligible to work in the UK and be able to attend an interview within the next seven to ten days.
