Chef Manager - £23,000 per annum (Term-time only) - New Contract

We have a unique opportunity for you to join Thomas Franks at our new school location in Haslemere.

Thomas Franks take pride and passion in creating fresh homemade food using local family owned suppliers and we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef Manager to join us, working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week, term-time only.

The ideal candidate must possess experience from within a similar position and have a working knowledge and passion for healthy, modern and creative cuisine. The position requires a calm leader, with excellent communication skills and with the ability to create exciting dishes, using current food trends and seasonal fresh products.

The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of the hospitality industry; ideally in an educational or similar setting. You will also have proven experience of managing and motivating a catering team and producing fresh, modern and high-quality home cooked meals within budgetary guidelines. A 'Can do' attitude, flexibility and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key skills:

  • Cooking all food from scratch using the freshest ingredients
  • Building and developing Client Relationships
  • Implementing all company Health and Safety and Food Safety
  • Leading, training and motivating onsite team members
  • Food costings and menu development, ensuring strong budgetary control
  • Delivering an excellent food service
  • Excellent understanding of nutrition and allergen controls
  • Able to deliver innovative food creations in line with the Clients expectations
