About the programme:

A Chef de Partie Apprenticeship at Fuller’s is ideal for those already at Commis Chef level who want to advance their skills and responsibilities to the next level.

You’ll receive training in all aspects of food preparation whilst gaining an insight into the lively kitchen at the some of the liveliest kitchens across the South of England.

Working in a Fuller’s Kitchen is exciting and challenging, but with a full team to support and mentor you, you’ll develop a rich understanding of food and a passion for our fresh, seasonal and local produce.

What we can offer you:

  • Study 1 day per week at one of our partner colleges or universities
  • Work 4 days per week in one of our selected managed pubs*
  • Be mentored by one of our Head Chefs
  • Be paid weekly**
  • Receive 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Desired qualifications:

  • Commis Chef Standard or Level 2 Professional Cookery (NVQ)
  • 2 years relevant experience

**Weekly Wage: age 16 – 20 up to £246, age 21 – 24 up to £308, age 25+ up to £328. All based on a 40 hour work week. There is an opportunity to earn more through our tips and service charge system.

The White Star is an award-winning pub, restaurant and hotel, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner and a true taste of Hampshire hospitality. Food at The White Star is exceptional. From traditional pub classics to creative British cuisine, there’s fabulous locally sourced food available all day every day. With 13 boutique bedrooms all equipped with Egyptian cotton linen and designer bathrooms, it is the ideal space for visitors to explore Southampton and the beautiful surrounding country side.
