A Second Chef with proven experience cooking flavoursome fresh food, sourced ideally from local Cumbrian suppliers, is required to join a small but passionate brigade in a beautiful Hotel near Ulverston in Cumbria.
The recently refurbished Hotel has fantastic, very well equipped bedrooms with superb views. The restaurant caters for circa 500 covers per week and is a popular Sunday Lunch venue as well as a great place for small events or private dining.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for an existing Second Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie looking to take the next step in their career.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
*Support the Head Chef with creating a mouth-watering menu made up of modern creative dishes and traditional favourites with a modern twist.
*Stock control and liaising with suppliers to complete stock orders.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
*The successful applicant will be a good "all-rounder" with experience gained in a busy kitchen using fresh produce, baking breads, making fresh pasta etc.
*You will have excellent communication skills, be reliable and a team player.
*A professional cooking qualification is preferred.
