Charity Fundraiser - St. Oswald's Hospice
Charity fundraising is a fun, rewarding role, which involves meeting new people and working outdoors.
As a door-to-door or street fundraiser for St. Oswald's Hospice, you will work in teams in local residential areas and High Street. By engaging members of the public on their door-step or on the high street, you will be telling people about the vital work that goes on at St. Oswald's and asking them to support the charity with a regular financial gift. The donation is done through a monthly Direct Debit.
This is a full or part time role
Door-to-door fundraising hours: 2pm-8pm. Monday to Friday - 30 hours/week
Street fundraising hours: 10am-5pm. Monday to Friday - 30 hours/week
Full paid training
MUST BE 18 OR OLDER
The successful candidates will be the kind of people that prefer to chat than to stay quiet. Tenacious, confident and articulate, a successful fundraiser is someone that loves the outdoors and can handle rejection.
Whilst past experience in either sales, fundraising or events is welcome, it's definitely not essential as full training is provided. This is an ideal role if you're a graduate or a gap year student looking to do something rewarding for a few months.
If you have a background in retail, customer service, bar work or hospitality, this could be the prefect new challenge for you!
