Experience: The role is UK-based and requires occasional travel, both within the UK, and overseas.
Ideally the successful candidate will be a degree/HNC educated Engineer with a proven track record in certification disciplines gained preferably in the engine related industry but vehicle homologation experience would be considered.
A good knowledge of type-approval processes is a pre-requisite
A solid technical background, extensive experience within product development and a good working knowledge of diesel engines and engine related regulations would be highly advantageous.
The successful applicant will be a well organised team-leader, capable of communicating and defending positions at all levels within the business and across disciplines. The candidate will approach work critically and thoroughly with confidence in their determinations.
Beyond these requirements we are looking for someone with a flexible, hands-on approach and with a drive to support the timely delivery of market leading, compliant products.
Responsibilities: Lead the dedicated certification team in all aspects of engine compliance activity.
Manage compliance demonstration activities, including liaison with regulatory authorities, test facilities and system owners.
Support technical representation, presentation and negotiation with regulatory authorities and government agencies.
Communicate to the group and to senior management future emissions legislation.
Provide engine regulatory guidance and interpretation to product development teams.
Compile and maintain compliance data and create necessary homologation documentation.
Monitor design changes and conduct compliance impact assessments of changes.
Support Manufacturing and Quality in conformity of production activities.
