An opportunity has arisen for a Catering Supervisor at our client's new Heritage Centre Café. The centre is a community hub and tourist attraction for visitors, providing exhibitions and interpretation about the fascinating local industrial heritage.

Catering Supervisor
Salary: Circa £15,200 pro rata (dependent on experience)
Base: Winlaton Mill. Gateshead
Hours: 30 hours per week to include weekends and some evenings

As a Catering Supervisor you will report to the Catering Manager and be integral to the overall success of the Heritage Centre Café.

Responsibilities of role:

  • Assist in preparation of the menu, using fresh, local ingredients and the recipes provided as required
  • Assist with food ordering and stock taking
  • Food Hygiene, Allergen and Health and Safety compliance
  • Building relationships with visitors and suppliers
  • Friendly and polite customer service
  • Assist with all cash procedures

You will hold a basic food hygiene qualification and a minimum of NVQ II in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent.
