To work under the direction of the FM Services management team to provide a quality, commercial catering and patient food service. The post holder will observe the policies and procedures of the company
The client is a leading facilities management company
To work within established catering routines using own initiative as appropriate in the provision of an In-patient service and the use of raw ingredients within the commercial restaurant.
The hygienic handling of food products in accordance with food hygiene legislation and the Trust/Company Food Safety Policy (HACCP).
Observation of statutory and Trust/Company food hygiene regulations.
Taking and recording of food temperatures and seeking further instruction where these are outside of critical limits.
To assist in the preparation and cooking of light menu items.
Complete non-stock requisitions prior to authorisation to maintain required stock levels.
Serving meals in an appetising and attractive manner that complies with the company's portion control guidance.
Produce all products in accordance with company catering policy/catering manuals and legislative standards relating to portion control, preparation, production and storage methods.
To be involved in the general cleaning following the appropriate cleaning schedules, use of electrical floor scrubber, vacuuming areas and cleaning of all catering equipment.
The successful candidate will have previous kitchen/catering experience and able to start immediately
