Interim Category Specialist, Private Health, Central London, 6 Months, £240 per day

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and confident interim Category Specialist at a commercial, private health organisation. The role will be for a 6 month assignment based in central London with some occasional travel to other sites.
Your new role
As a Category Specialist you will be responsible for the medical and pharmacy category, ensuring that the sourcing strategies are as cost effective to meet business requirements. You will be responsible for the end to end procurement process; leading the supplier selection, qualifying and managing relationships with various suppliers. You will also be required to support the Category Manager in developing category plans, risk plans and innovative cost saving initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must have experience of delivering savings through procurement activities. You must be a skilled negotiator and have comprehensive experience of working with a number of stakeholders to ensure a successful outcome is achieved. Medical and pharmacy category management experience is also required. Ideally you will also be CIPS qualified or studying towards it.
