The Role

As part of a continued focus on developing and shaping our customer services and supporting our wider operational teams, we are looking for a Category Procurement Manager (Property Services) to join our Procurement team.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will provide specialist knowledge and expertise to category manage the Property Services spend for the organisation, implementing the procurement policy that enables the delivery of value for money through new and existing commercial and contractual arrangements resulting in reduced risk and improved overall business outcomes. The post holder will work with the Senior Category Manager to identify and support the delivery of real efficiencies through procurement which can be measured and monitored.

You will assist our Property colleagues (and other colleagues as required) on all aspects of procurement including sourcing options, contract specifications, forms of contract, tender packaging and pricing strategies in line with internal and external regulation to enable the delivery of value for money. You will negotiate and lead discussions, in conjunction with others if appropriate, relating to Property purchasing, procurement contracts, renewals and extensions.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Category Procurement Manager with property services experience and proven market knowledge of Repairs and Maintenance and compliance and investment works. You should have proven sourcing and acquisitions, vendor management and supply management experience and experience of contractual terms and conditions relating to Property Services. It is a must you have experience of leading on Property Services category management in a multi-site operation.

To be successful, it is essential you have a proven track record of delivering high levels of support service to customers and successfully delivering on operational plans and value for money. You will need to be proactive to develop data and performance services and improve services.
