A significant player in the manufacture and supply of branded and own label healthy snacking food products to major retailers and wholesalers, our client is enjoying a period of dramatic and sustained growth.

A self-starting Marketing Category Managerwithprovenmarketingandcategorymanagementskillsis now required tohelp maintain this growth trajectory.

You will head up the brandmanagementprocess, conducting the required research, liaising internallywith keystakeholdersin thebusinesswith regardstoROI,and selecting and working with designagenciesasappropriate.You will build brandplanstoachievebusinessstrategies,incorporatingall marketingcommunicationsforbrandandownlabelincludingwebsite development,tradeand consumeradvertisingandpromotionalactivities,utilisingandmaximisingPRanddigitaltosupport plans.

You should have the ability to develop detailed category understanding; how a categoryis shopped by consumers,howthoseshoppingdecisionsaremade, andhowproductsaresegmentedinthemain retailers. You will usetheseinsightstocreateimpactfuland effectivebrand and categorystrategies.

You will develop an understandingof the relevant foodmarket place, including trendsin ingredients, flavoursand cuisines,and todevelop and share this knowledgewithinthebusiness.

The Marketing Category Manager will recommend andimplement the most cost effective routesfor developing category knowledgeand sales arguments,through thepurchase of (EPOS)sales data and, or via panel or bespokeresearch and workcollaborativelywiththeNPDdepartmentinthecreationandlaunchingofappropriate productsin allsectors,categoriesand segmentswhere productscould be marketed.

You will workclosely with the Commercialteam todeliverboth own label and branded sales strategies,and tocommunicatemarketingobjectivestothewiderbusiness and be the mainpoint of contact forall internal and inter-company marketing and communications.

We seek experienceofFMCGproductmarketinganddevelopment,ideallyinambientfoodsalesto themajorUKretailers(FMCG non-foodwill alsobeconsidered).
