Your role will be to ensure the product range in your specialist category is fit for purpose, on trend and commercially managed. You will also be responsible for agreeing ongoing promotion plans for your category. You will source local and sustainable products where possible
- Ensure the range within your category is fit for the current market and keep up with the market trends
- Ensure all legal requirements are met for your product category and supplier
- Source new product lines
- Ensure your range has a balance of locally produced products
- Engage with existing suppliers and identify what is coming to market
- Work with sales to organise focus days / weeks for your category
- Ensure cost price management of your product category and gain the best value
- Monitor sales of your range and identify slow sellers and potential stock issues
- Source products for new business tenders
