We offer a full service to our customers; from concept right through to launch. We are not an aggressive, sales driven organisation but work on the principles of developing good honest relationships with retailers and developing sales through our category knowledge, product quality and category management. Our culture is very much team orientated.

It is essential that all information is presented in a clear and user-friendly format with commentary and conclusions to accompany the information. The information is to be shared with the marketing team and ultimately our customers.
+ Analysing market data/information from IRI and Mintel.
+ Creating an annual Market Review document of your assigned category to include data, trends, market NPD, an overview of each brand/own label range
+ Creating the monthly Market Activity presentation and presenting this in the monthly marketing meeting in a vibrant and engaging manner
+ Creating Trend documents
+ Creating the monthly printed advert review
+ Creating Quarterly Information Packs (QIP) that contain data, trends and market NPD
+ Sending out ad-hoc emails to the marketing and technical team to highlight market NPD
+ Arranging and hosting focus groups. Analysing the results and sharing with the marketing team in presentable and clear format. Drawing conclusions from the results
+ Arranging in-office benchmarking of our products vs competitors
+ Timetable in regular store visits to track merchandising and promotional activity
+ Working to key deadlines in the critical path to ensure information is ready in a timely manner for internal and external meetings.
+ Engage in continual 2-way communication with the technical team to gain technical feedback on market NPD and industry issues
+ Saving all of the information on the central drive, in clearly named and well organised folders, for easy access for the marketing and technical teams.
+ Proactively set up team meetings to share information
+ Attend exhibitions and conferences as a visitor
New Product Development
+ Confident in making recommendations for NPD to the New Business Development Manager and the wider marketing team
+ Assisting the New Business Development Manager with responding to customer briefs
+ Completing paperwork for new products with a high level of attention to detail
+ Working closely with the technical team to develop new products
+ Creating product names, claims and pack copy for NPD
+ Working with the technical team to identify extracts
+ Briefing in fragrance to the technical team
+ Sourcing packaging for new products / liaising with the packaging team
+ Ensuring that the above 3 elements are within cost
+ Conducting gap analyses and brand maps for current customers and potential new customers
+ Managing critical paths and ensuring NPD runs to deadline
+ Attending customer meetings and assisting the New Business Development Manager with presenting NPD
+ Create Sell-in Packs to educate the marketing team about our NPD
+ Have knowledge of the products that our parent company have developed for their customers
+ Preparing and formatting of customer presentations
+ Keep up to date with key industry issues e.g. sustainability
+ Ad hoc support to the New Business Development Manager
+ Ad hoc support to the marketing team
Your Background / Previous Roles May Include:
