My client is one of the UK's largest Facilities Management companies with over 100 years experience in Integrated services.
We require a time served Carpenter to provide an efficient and professional carpentry and joinery service to ensure an effective and timely delivery of our refurbishment projects.
Carry out excellent and professional general carpentry & joinery works utilising a full range of skills that include but not limited to the following:
Complete refurbishment of kitchens, bathrooms, WC and shower areas to a very high standard.
Multiskilled works such as tiling, decorating and minor plumbing works.
Ground-works and other general building works as may be required to assist with smooth project delivery.
Repair of general fixtures and fittings to carpet tiles, suspended ceilings, stud and demountable partitions.
Installation of windows, partitions and doors including fire doors, frames and general fire reform works.
Ability to identify if other works are required that may be affected or effect the work in hand, able to work on own initiative and resolve problems when encountered.
Use of power tools, access equipment and erection of mobile scaffolding.
Respond to emergencies within the designated timeframes.
Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the principles of providing excellent customer service.
Remain customer focused at all times and being aware of the needs of our customer.
Ensure all equipment is securely stored and maintained in a condition suitable for next use.
Report any damage or breakage of property.
Ensure that precautions are taken to protect property.
Ensure all security measures are taken where applicable.
Ensure service of equipment is conducted on a regular basis.
Demonstrate extensive experience of working on new and old buildings including listed buildings.
Apprenticeship trained with relevant City & Guilds Craft Certificate, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
CIBT Certificate in scaffolding (Basic 1 & 2) or equivalent working at height training would be desirable.
CSCS card holder.
Sound level of written and spoken English in order to comprehend briefings and directions from Supervisors and communicate with other workers on site.
Will need to complete site records and routine forms.
Ability to work unsupervised and organise workload.
Ability to contribute as a member of a team to achieve positive outcomes and provide quality service to customers.
Sound level of numerical knowledge (i.e. arithmetic, geometry, calculus, statistics)
An excellent attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work under pressure and react calmly to emergencies.
Ability to source own materials when required for tasks in hand.
Knowledge and understanding of basic Health & Safety practices, including selection and use of personal protective equipment.
Will be required to work overtime when requested and occasion night working.
Clean driving license is required.
