Hays Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated School Caretaker to start immediately in a large secondary school based in Doncaster. Your new role
This is a full time, temporary role starting immediately until the end of the academic year. It is working Monday to Friday from 7 am until 5 pm. This role includes carrying out minor repairs, monitoring heating and lighting, security arrangements for the protection of school resources and porterage. You will also be responsible for ensuring the school site is kept clean and free of litter and letting of premises are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to undertake minor repairs to the building, for example joinery or plumbing as well as a background in facilities management, e.g. caretaking, cleaning. Ideally you will have previous experience working as a school caretaker although other relevant experience will be considered. You will need to have a good understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation. The successful candidate will need to provide recent references. A DBS check will need to be carried out.
