Caretaker - Kew Gardens

Job Title:                     Caretaker / Maintenance

Position:                     Perm

Location:                    Kew Gardens

Salary:                        £25,000

Working hours:          Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday’s

Shifts:                         8am-4pm

Role overview:

You will be an experience caretaker who can provide an efficient service to the residents and follow procedures in a courteous and friendly manner

If you look out for people’s best interests, and show them you care by providing an excellent caretaker service in a warm and friendly manner. If you are creative, resourceful and can listen, consult and take on-board people’s opinions and needs, then this role could be for you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide a high standard of service

  • Ensure the development is professionally maintained

  • Daily tasks will include minor repairs such as general carpentry, plumbing, unblocking sinks, changing locks and changing light bulbs

  • Maintain a clean recycling and rubbish collection area for the site and disposal of rubbish

  • Report any issues to the Development Manager as required

  • Ensure that all health and safety risks are identified, and report any accidents, trips, spills, hazards or near misses as per the sits procedures to the Assistant Development Manager and Development Manager

    What skills you’ll need:

    The ability to work as an individual and also part of a team, to build strong working relationships with our residents is imperative to this role

    Punctuality, reliability and attention to detail  is essential
