Enfield Care Centre are currently recruiting for a Carers Assessment Officer on a part time basis (21 hours per week). This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing charity that is currently in the process of merging with a well-established home care provider.

Due to further funding, we are looking to recruit an outstanding candidate to undertake Carers Assessments in Enfield on behalf of Enfield Council.

Essential skills for vacancy

You will be highly organised, have excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional administration skills and the ability to time manage efficiently.

Candidates may come from an information/advice, social care or health background, must be computer literate, excellent communicators, and able to successfully engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience of person -centred planning and of working with volunteers is desirable.

The successful candidate must have an empathy and understanding of unpaid carers and the challenges they face along with a meticulous approach to record keeping and recording.

You must be a car driver and hold a full driving licence. You will undergo a DBS check. As Home Visiting and satellite working are essential parts of the role, the successful candidate will need to declare business use in their car insurance policy.

Enfield Carers Centre (ECC) is a charity which supports family/unpaid Carers and aims to improve their quality of life. The charity was formed in 2010 and provides a range of services such as support groups, counselling, training, Carers Assessments, benefits advice and carers breaks. It will soon be merging with an established Home Care Provider, delivering high quality domiciliary care to clients within their own homes and rated Good by CQC. Our aims are to relieve the stress of care whilst ensuring Carers enjoy a life outside of their caring role without falling into financial hardship.
