Care workers wanted for special needs teaching assistant job in West London

Are you experienced or interested in supporting children/young adults with physical difficulties and complex needs?

An 'Outstanding’ Special Needs primary school in Greenford are looking for Teaching Assistants and Learning support Assistants to work full-time and bank staff roles immediately. The role would be based within the school’s complex needs department supporting pupils with physical, severe and complex learning difficulties.

The role will focus heavily on 1:1 and small group support including assistance in personal care and moving and handling .

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to Sudbury Hill/Greenford area (West London) daily

  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:30 am - to 4:00pm during school term time

  • Must have experience/interest in supporting children/young people with physical severe learning difficulties

  • Must be confident in supporting children with their learning

  • Must be open/able to support children with moving and handling, personal care and/or nappy changing

  • Knowledge of PECS, TEACCH, Makaton, symbols and sensory resources highly beneficial

A valid DBS with Child Only Workforce registered onto the update service is required in order to secure this job.
