Fantastic opportunity to work for an established residential child care provider who provide quality therapeutic care to enable growth in the young people they work with.

We provide a therapeutic approach by employing a highly experienced and talented staff who work with our consultant clinical psychologist to provide a stable and nurturing environment for young females, who are at serious risk of child sexual exploitation, absconding and substance misuse and who can present with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. The support worker will need to be committed to nurturing and making a positive difference to the children and young people they look after.

Support Worker role: As a Residential Support Worker you will work as part of a successful team empowering young people to reach their full potential in all areas of their lives. Your aim will be to support the residents to have equal opportunities to develop their independence & social skills in preparation for adult life. You will assist the young people in making their own choices and decisions to the maximum of their capability and ensure their needs and wishes are fully considered at all times. You will encourage positive communication, relationships and support the young people in making positive choices.

The company offers excellent training, development prospects and supervision. The role is contracted at 40 hours per week with a mixture of early's, lates and long days, some with sleep ins attached to them.

Support Worker Criteria:
• Willingness to participate in all in house training.
• Thick Skinned
• Some previous experience with emotional & behavioural difficulties.
