Children’s Hospice South West, (CHSW) is a successful registered charity dedicated to the provision of hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families from the South West. About the job:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, flexible and enthusiastic administrator to be part of the delivery of comprehensive and effective administrative support to the Senior Care Leadership Team (SCLT) and the wider care team at CHSW as required.
Duties will include:
• Minute/Note taking
• Ensuring administrative systems are efficient, maintained and accurate
• Support diary management of SCLT (e.g. book appointments, arranging meetings, call/email management)
• Dealing with phone calls effectively in a considerate and compassionate manner
• Produce/edit documentation (Letters, reports, note taking etc)
• Report preparation
This role is based at Little Bridge House, Barnstaple. Fixed term contract until 31 August 2024, working 22hrs per week over 3/4 days (including Friday and Monday). For current CHSW staff, this post could be considered as a secondment opportunity.
About you:
To be successful you must be highly organised, able to prioritise a busy workload, have an eye for detail, have Minute taking experience and strong all round communication skills. Competent IT skills including working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as experience using databases is essential. Experience of working within a health or social care setting would be advantageous.
