Job Paths 4 U are recruiting for a Care Assistant to work in a Nursing Dementia and Residential home based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

As a Care Assistant, you will support the elderly residents and care for those with Dementia.

This is a 45 bedded home is one of the 6 homes owned by our client who specialise in providing the highest standard of Nursing, Dementia and Residential Care.

My client is looking for a strong-minded, passionate and confident person with a great work ethic to work in their residential care home based in Market Harborough.

Duties and Responsibilities for this Care Assistant opportunity:

  • The role involves being responsible for the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of residents, assisting them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and eating their meals.
  • To respond to the needs of service users, to assess emergency situations, contacting the manager on call as required
  • To maintain accurate notes and records within the resident’s individual files and to handover information to staff that is relevant to the ongoing care residents
  • To assist residents who need help, reassurance or support throughout the day and night
  • To support residents with their personal care identified within the individual care plans

Minimum Requirements for this Care Assistant role:

  • Must have Level 2 Health and Social Care
  • Experience of working with the elderly and people with dementia
  • Experience of working in residential care
