So what does the Q in Q-Care stand for? Let us explain…
We have a great reputation because we care. We care about our customers and we value and respect our Care Assistants. The most important thing for us is to ensure our Care Assistants are provided with a supportive, safe and professional environment to work in and that our customers get the best care possible because of the amazing work that you do. Our Care Assistants are the reason that the people in your community continue to remain at home and happy.
We are a responsive team where feedback matters. Our Management team started as Care Assistants themselves so we understand that you will have good days and bad days and that’s why our door is always open for you to come in for a chat and a cuppa whether that be for professional or personal reasons – the important thing here is that we act on your feedback.
We have outstanding training and support at Q-Care. If you are new to care then we provide practical training and 1-1 support whilst you are with your first customers – the last thing we would do is rush or pressure you! If you are an experienced carer then it’s about sharing ideas, ensuring your training is kept up-to-date and ensuring you continue to be informed of latest legislation, manoeuvres etc.
Our office team is great. We are a team of fun, friendly and sometimes quirky individuals who make coming to work every day enjoyable and most importantly fun. We regularly run competitions to win vouchers and hampers, send presents & cards to our Care Assistants on birthdays & Xmas, support fundraising days – the sillier the better (you will have to ask about Wrong Trouser Day) and we understand the importance of having an enjoyable environment to work in.
Here is how we support/reward our Care Assistants:
- Company cars available that are fully insured if you don’t have a car
- Hourly rate weekdays £8.25
- Hourly rate weekends £9.00
- Bank holiday up to £12.38
- Christmas & Easter presents for our staff
- Fundraising days to get involved in (you’ll have to ask what wrong trouser day is!)
- Competitions to win hampers and vouchers throughout the year
- Paid travel between calls (you’re never out of pocket!)
- Guaranteed hours (optional)
- 12p mileage reimbursement (when using own car)
