Our recently-opened Weston-super-Mare branch is recruiting several experienced Care Assistants to join the team working in Weston-Super-Mare, Churchill, Winscombe, Congresbury and surrounding areas.

Due to rural client locations and shift times, public transport is not always readily available, therefore access to your own vehicle is desirable.

The Carer Role

You will be working in local nursing homes, residential homes and care homes delivering essential care to residents in a compassionate and caring manner. It's essential you're committed to upholding our vision of excellence in care, which means promoting wellbeing while protecting each person's dignity.

As a naturally caring and compassionate person, you will play an essential part in delivering great quality, person-centred care to every service user you encounter. This means recognising the capabilities of each person and seeing them as more than just a care plan.

Daily tasks may include assisting with washing and dressing, meal times, personal care and enabling clients to participate in their favourite activities.

Unlike an agency care job, you will enjoy a permanent contract plus a flexible working routine that means you can work when you choose.

The Local Branch

Your local branch is located in the popular seaside town of Weston-super-Mare on 305 Worle Parkway. We are just a short walk away from the local train station but can easily be reached by bus or car.

We cover areas up to Clevedon in the north, Burnham-on-Sea in the south and Cheddar in the west.

Person Specification

You will need to have the right to live and work in the UK, at least 3 months' previous paid care experience in the UK and suitable referee contact details to apply for this vacancy. You will also need a valid certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course.

If you have an NVQ or equivalent in Health and Social Care, or currently work in a care assistant job, you could be fast tracked through our recruitment process.
