Care Assistant

We have several flexible vacancies for Care Assistant to work full or part time hours clients Frome, Warminster and the local surrounding areas. Unlike an agency, we offer all of our staff a permanent contract with guaranteed hours, with the flexibility to work short or long day shifts, nights or weekends or a combination of these. You can vary your rota to accommodate family commitments or you can work shifts that fit your off-duty rota, it's your choice.

Due to rural client locations and shift times, public transport is not always readily available, therefore access to your own vehicle is desirable.

The Care Role

Working as a Newcross carer means you'll be working to improve and support the quality of life and well-being of individuals you encounter. You will promote service users' independence and protect their dignity through a kind and compassionate approach to personal care.

This could involve a range of tasks such as assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, meal times, accessing the community and other general activities that enable clients to receive an excellent standard of care.

Your Local Branch

Your local branch is based in Bath, a short walk from the local train station and the renowned Roman Baths. We cover a wide area, ranging from Eastern Somerset regions such as Glastonbury and Wells, over to Trowbridge, Warminster and of course the local city areas of Bath.

The Requirements
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months' previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course

You should also be willing to travel and due to the location of some clients, access to your own vehicle is desirable.
