Currently recruiting enthusiastic care assistants to join our team in the Exeter area. We need care assistants who strive to deliver an outstanding level of care, who are reliable and find enjoyment in making a positive change in people’s lives. Experienced care workers are preferred but not essential as we have excellent training programs available for new starters.
Day to day tasks may include but not limited to: getting to know the residents. Learning their interests and needs. Helping residents out of bed in the morning or off to sleep at night. Food preparation and feeding. Personal care including toileting, washing and changing clothes. General house work and laundry. Assisting with the residents needs and providing emotional and practical support. Promoting independence and respecting privacy and dignity. Helping with meal times. Being involved with daily leisure activities.

Skills and personal characteristics needed
- caring and kind
- cheerful and friendly
- willing to be hands-on with patients
- willing to do personal care tasks (washing, toileting, etc)
- able to follow instructions and procedures
- able to work in a team but use their own initiative
- communication skills, including listening
- organisation skills
- observational skills
