Care Assistant

Newcross has several job vacancies for experienced Care Assistants (CAs) to work with our clients in the local Dumbartonshire area through our Glasgow branch.

The Care Assistant Role

We have full and part time permanent positions available, with the flexibility to work short or long day shifts, nights or weekends or a combination of these, it's your choice.

This means recognising the capabilities of the person, promoting their dignity at all times and seeing them as more than just a care plan. It is essential that you are dedicated to promoting the well-being and quality of life of each individual you care for. This means recognising the capabilities of each person, championing their needs and seeing them as more than a care plan.

Experience of caring for those with dementia is highly desirable.

Due to rural client locations and shift times, public transport is not always readily available, therefore access to your own vehicle is desirable.

The Branch

Your local branch is located in Scotland's largest city. You can find us at 13 Fitzroy place in Glasgow city, a short distance from Ilbrox Football Satdium. We provide high quality healthcare staff to towns and cities within Glasgow, Renfrewshire and the Western Scottish islands, from Campbeltown to Oban.

Person Specification

To apply for this care assistant vacancy, you will need to have the right to live and work in the UK, at least 1 years' previous paid experience in a UK care environment and suitable referee contact details to include a supervisor who can comment on your clinical ability.

You'll also need to be SSSC registered or commit to registering when you join our team.

An SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable.
