As a Care Assistant, you will be expected to provide care and attention to our clients in their homes or residential settings. It is essential that you are dedicated to promoting the well-being and quality of life of each individual you care for. This means recognising the capabilities of each person, championing their needs and seeing them as more than a care plan. As a member of our team you will provide the friendly companionship the client needs and assistant them in engaging in activities of daily living such as leisure and personal care.
Personal care could include: dressing, washing, toileting and enabling service users to live their daily lives as they choose. You will play an essential role in enabling our service users to live fulfilling lives, engaging in their favourite activities and interacting with their families, visitors and other residents. You will be working shifts in nursing and residential homes throughout the Fife area and we have part time or full time shift days, nights or weekends.
Due to rural client locations and shift times, public transport is not always readily available, therefore access to your own vehicle is desirable.Benefits of Working for Newcross:

You will need the right to live and work in the UK and have at least 3 months experience in a healthcare job. We would expect references from your current place of work and those held in the last 18 months. It is important that you are SSSC registered or that you commit to register when you join us.
An SVQ2 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.
