Care Assistant

The Position

Working as a Newcross Care Assistant means you will be involved in ensuring each resident receives an excellent standard of care that meets their personal care plan. Personal care could include: dressing, washing, toileting and enabling service users to live their daily lives as they choose. You will play an essential role in enabling residents to live fulfilling lives, partaking in their favourite activities and interacting with their families, visitors and other residents.

As a naturally compassionate person, you will play an essential part in delivering great quality, person-centred care to every individual you encounter. This means recognising the capabilities of the person, promoting their dignity at all times and seeing them as more than just a care plan. It is essential that you are dedicated to promoting the well-being and quality of life of each individual you care for. Work flexible hours of your choice, choose your own rota and take advantage of free, ongoing training in your local area (FREE through our work credits).

In order to ensure you always have enough work, you should be willing to travel around the local surrounding areas, therefore access to your own vehicle or public transport is desirable.

Your local branch is based in Chester - you can find us at 17 - 19 Boughton, just off of the A51. We are easily accessible by both car and public transport, being just a 7 minute walk from Chester train station and a few minutes from the Grosvenor precinct.

Our Chester branch covers the wider Cheshire area and parts of Northern Wales, from Holywell and Wrexham, to Crewe and Northwich.

The Requirements

To be considered for this care assistant position, you will need the right to live and work in the UK, recent paid experience working in a UK care environment and at least 2 referee contract details, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability.

You'll also need a certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course.
