Care Assistant

About the role

Care Assistants are required for our client who is a delightful fun loving 16yr old young male who lives in his fully adapted family home with his parents in the Wolverhampton geographical area.

This young person has Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy which is well controlled with his detailed medication plan, PEG for additional fluid intake, he is wheelchair dependant and requires support at all times with manual handling.

Our client requires full support with his Pureed soft diet to ensure he receives the nutritional intake he requires.

Out of school he enjoys spending time in his sensory room, swimming pool and following his therapeutic plan with the support from his family and carers. He is a sociable individual and enjoys spending time with others in and out side the family home using his eye-gaze as his main communication aid.

Care Assistants are required to support with his morning routine to aid this young person to attend school. Full support with all aspects of personal care, meal preparation and daily therapeutic regimes as well as supporting with fun social interaction and extra curricular activities.

Shifts available are as follows:

Thursday mornings - 06:45am - 08:45am
Friday mornings - 06:45am - 08:45am

Monday afternoons - 16:00pm - 22:00pm
Tuesday afternoons - 16:00pm - 22:00pm
Saturdays (alternate weekends) - 08:00am - 22:00pm
Sundays (alternate weekends) - 08:00am - 20:00pm

You must possess the following:

• 6 months previous care experience
• Be able to provide references to evidence your skills and experience
• Are committed and reliable
• Have a passion for providing high quality individualised care
