Care Assistant

Posted 13 December 2017 by Sunrise Senior Living Limited Ending soon

At Sunrise Senior Living, great care starts with great people. If you’re keen to be part of quality care in a quality environment, you’ll love being part of our team. You’ll join passionate people in a rewarding workplace, which is also a superb home environment for our residents. With at least five activities a day and freshly cooked food prepared on the premises, we preserve residents’ dignity, nurture their spirit, enable them to be independent and celebrate their individuality.

As a world leader and award-winner, we offer you a competitive reward and remuneration package. And as part of a growing international network, we’re a perfect place to build your career.

As a Care Assistant, you’ll make all the difference for residents, every day. That’s because you’ll provide each individual with care that meets their unique needs. Our residents will be safe in the knowledge that they can rely on you for excellent physical and emotional support. You’ll make sure they get the most out of every activity - whether it’s as simple as having dinner, or something more complex, like taking part in an activity or travelling to an appointment outside the community. What’s more, you’ll keep residents’ rooms and communal areas clean and tidy, with pride.

To join us, you’ll need good communication skills, both in person and in writing. If you don’t have an NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care, you must be willing to undertake the qualification. The same goes for training in administering medication. You’ll bring to the role great judgement, lots of initiative, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. In everything you do, you’re committed to acting in residents’ best interests. Willingness to work flexible hours is also vital.

In return for the passion you bring, you can look forward to excellent rewards including a pension and generous holiday entitlement, as well as potential support for further study, a choice of discounts and all kinds of care and wellbeing focused benefits.
