Care Assistant - Rapid Response Team
Salary: £18,000 - £20,000
37.5 hours per week across seven days
Our client has a new opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their Response Team in Greater Manchester on a permanent basis.
About the Care Assistant - Rapid Response Team role:
The role will involve delivering high quality clinical care to a variety of clients in their own homes.
You will support the prompt discharge of new patients as well as working on existing packages requiring support.
Our client understands the importance of a life work balance so working will be on a rotation. Additional hours are available.
The position will involve travel across the specified regional area, so driving is essential with access to a vehicle.
Mileage will be paid for an agreed proportion of miles.
They provide care to a wide range of clients from babies and children to adults and the elderly.
All clients have substantial and on-going complex healthcare needs and need a strong team of care staff to support their day to day life.
The clinical needs of our clients include:
- Ventilation and airway management,
- Tracheostomy care
- Oral and Nasal suction
- Oxygen therapy
- Nebuliser therapy
- Medication Management including via PEG
- Administering rescue medication and insulin.
- Continence management including catheter care, intermittent catherisation manual evacuation, suppositories and enemas
- Enteral & NG feeding
If successful you will receive a full training programme to include:-
Comprehensive company induction.
All mandatory training including practical sign off in Manual Handling, BLS Adult & Child and Administration of medication
Complex theory training with clinical professionals in their field
Practical sign off and monitoring from a Clinical Lead
Whilst full training is provided they do require strong hands on care experience. Our client is looking for someone with a strong track record of working with clients with complex needs who can demonstrate clinical skills and experience.
