An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy, friendly team in Cardiology as an Assistant Technical Officer (Cardiographer) (15 hours per week).

Our purpose built department provides a range of diagnostic invasive and non-invasive procedures that include ECGs, Ambulatory Monitoring, Medically Led Stress Testing (including Rapid Access Chest Pain clinics), Transthoracic and Transoesophogeal Echocardiography, Diagnostic Coronary Angiography, Cardiac Catheterisation, Pacemaker and complex device Implants (Including follow- up clinics).

The post holder will be responsible for performing Electrocardiograms (ECGs) and Fitting of Ambulatory Monitors. Other duties include use of patient data systems to record and access patient information therefore good IT skills would be an advantage.

The successful applicant should have good communication and interpersonal skills. A caring and empathetic manner is essential for this role.

The applicant would be expected to hold or work towards the Certificate in Electrocardiography. All necessary training will be given to the successful applicant. Experience of working within a hospital or caring environment would be advantageous.
