Your New Job Title: Cantonese speaking Lending Associate

The Skills You'll Need: Proficient in spoken and written English and Cantonese. Relevant experience on the residential or commercial property lending sector or in a financial services organisation.

Your New Salary: to £38k, depending on experience

Location: Central London

What You'll be Doing Each Day:

  • To assist Head of Business Development Department to develop new business opportunities
  • Assessing loan documentation, including valuation reports and requesting additional information from customer where required, highlighting any concerns
  • To write credit facility proposal/reviews and reports for mortgage applications
  • Carrying out checks on the applicants and properties and assessing their suitability for the loan applied for
  • To perform due diligence including KYC and AML on customers in accordance with the Compliance Policy and AML Manual
  • Support the Business Development Department to procure loan business from the inception stage to funding, and to monitor the post-funding loan servicing requirements
  • To be a team member of the Business Development Department
  • Work closely with Head Office, local loan administration, compliance and risk
  • Liaise with surveyors, property developers, solicitors and other professional bodies

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Solid knowledge on the residential or commercial property lending sector or related experience in a financial services organisation
  • University graduate in Economics, Business, Finance or related disciplines
  • CeMAP qualified would be desirable but not an absolute requirement
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Cantonese
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Good all-round IT proficiency, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
