Campsite Assistant

Posted 14 January by National Trust

We're looking for someone to join our Campsite team and help us to deliver a great experience for all our customers. If you're looking for a varied role, this could be a great opportunity for you.

What it's like to work here

Wasdale is a remote farming hamlet surrounded by spectacular fells and dramatic wilderness. The fells have been an inspiration for mountaineers, climbers and poets for decades and remain a magnificent setting for an adventure to suit everyone. The options are almost endless, from a short scenic walk up some of the lower fells such as Middle Fell with its panoramic view of the Scafell massif to walking up England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike. A walk that helps visitors discover the quieter side of the Western fells is to Greendale; it has a hidden mountain tarn for a refreshing swim!

What you'll be doing

As a Outdoors Holidays Operation Assistant, you’ll cover a range of customer facing duties across the Holidays property, supporting various teams to deliver a great service to visitors. You’ll deliver outstanding customer service to a broad range of visitors and do everything possible to ensure they have a great visit. There will be a variety of duties which may range from welcoming and admitting visitors to the campsite, providing great information about Wasdale and the activities on offer, to general cleaning and presentation of public areas or serving customers in our retail and catering outlets.
