Reporting directly to the Campaign Operations Manager, the Campaign Operations Specialist is an integral part of the overall selections, operations and delivery of Marketing & Service lead multi-channel campaigns. Your remit will cover 4 main areas; DataMart, Unica, Campaign Self Service (CSS) & QA. Your daily focus will be the smooth running of our systems whilst working with different parts of the business to gather requirements for further improvements and enchantments to our systems.
It’s an exciting time to join TUI as we transition from our legacy systems onto a new one and in the process driving personalisation through our communications. This role is integral to the long term success of our plans and requires someone who is data savvy, understands technology/systems, a keen eye for detail, stakeholder management and project management skills. You are your team will be in the middle of our activity, working primarily between the Campaign Planners and Campaign Delivery Team. Finally you’ll have an Executive who will report into you on a dotted line with potential to formalise this in the future.
What you will be doing
As a Campaign Operations Specialist you’ll own the operational performance of our core systems and responsible for Quality Assurance of Campaign Outputs.
Your responsibility on our DataMart requires you to work with the wider team to capture new requirements to enhancements in our DataMart and briefing these into relevant teams. You’ll work with them and project manage the deployment of these into test/live environments ensuring whilst communicating to relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth deployment.
On a daily basis, you’ll ensure that our overnight build has completed through a number of automated reports and where not, raising these up to our Customer Data Team to ensure issues are investigated and resolved. In parallel you’ll ensure campaigns have been triggered correctly through our scheduler and that campaigns have completed its full journey whilst maintaining communication with stakeholders. You’ll also own our CRM infrastructure working to optimise and drive run time and quality gains where possible. This will require a good level of knowledge into our DataMart, our campaigns and future requirements. Where needed you’ll look to further expand our capability and help assess new tools likes UBX.
You’ll also own our CSS tool. A bespoke tool used to drive personalisation in communications, which will require you to build new flows applying relaxation rules and ensuring campaigns meet requirements. An eye on future development, optimisation and utilisation of the tool across campaigns will form a day to day requirement.
Finally, your team will ensure that quality of campaign activity throughout the process is in place and adhered to. This will require spot checks on automated campaigns, rolling out a more intuitive automated QA process in our campaigns and gatekeeping all data outputs.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in Campaign Operations with strong experience of CRM tool (Unica, Sales Force or similar)
- Database experience at a DBA level
- Experience in capturing and briefing in technical requirements
- Sound knowledge and experience of using SQL to at least an intermediate level
- Experience in checking for data quality through some form of QA process
- Familiar with analytical models and decisioning methods
- Excellent communicator - able to explain the technical details of data in a non-technical way both written and verbal
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills to both internal/external technical and non-technical stakeholders.
