NHS Highland is expanding CAMHS within Argyll and Bute to include local provision based in Bute and Cowal.
There is an opportunity for a Clinician at Band 7 to contribute to this developing service which will form a new branch of the existing CAMHS team. At a local level the service will replicate the multi-disciplinary team model in place across Argyll and Bute and will include Psychiatric, Psychological and Specialist Medical support alongside Primary Mental Health and a Clinician at Band 6.
Candidates will be first level registered nurse educated to a degree level, AHP, Social Worker or child trained Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP), with two years recent practice with children and families with mental health problems, or ASD. The post holder will have experience of contributing to the undertaking of assessment and diagnosis of ASD or be willing to undertake training in this area.
