NHS Highland is expanding CAMHS within Argyll and Bute to include local provision based in Bute and Cowal. There is an opportunity for a Clinician at Band 6 to contribute to this developing service which will form a new branch of the existing CAMHS team.
At a local level the service will replicate the multi-disciplinary team model in place across Argyll and Bute and this post will complement Psychiatric, Psychological and Specialist Medical support alongside Primary Mental Health and a Clinician at Band 7.
Applications are welcome from Registered Nurse, AHP, Social Worker or child trained Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP). Responsibilities will include managing and delivering care to a defined caseload/ group of clients/Child, Young person and their families/carers; responsible for delivering/ensuring the application of therapeutic skills and use of case management as appropriate, to ensure a high standard of quality client/patient care, working in partnership with other disciplines and agencies.
The post holder has delegated responsibility as appropriate providing clinical advice and support of junior practitioners and clinical support workers in provision of care and treatment within a defined CAMHS service, under the management and leadership of the Team Leader.
