ROLE: Camera Product Engineer

LOCATION: Belgium - Ghent

SALARY: Negotiable (DOE)

DURATION: Perm

As a Camera Product Engineer, you will be responsible for the infrared camera in the companies portfolio. Have a clear understanding of how the product is manufactured and its applications. Contribute to the design of new products and industrialize the manufacturing process of those cameras.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead industrialization of product, from proof of concept to its release to production Implement special customer requests into production in efficient and controlled way (coordinates with project management, sales, engineering, production) Taking the lead on complex customer returns (track, root cause, improvement plan.) Continuous improvement towards cost reduction and way of working Analyse and present data clearly and concisely, with recommendations.

Maintaining a good rapport with sales for possible differentiation opportunities Responsible for customers' returns data analysis, 8D, lessons learned.

What you will need to be successful:

Master's degree in Electronics, Optics, Information Technology or other related discipline

5+ years of experience in camera product engineering.

Solid understanding of opto-electronic devices LEAN sigma oriented with proven experience.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Experience in python or JMP scripting

Detail oriented, quick study, and self-motivated.

Ability to work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

Flexible, with strong planning and prioritization skills Excellent written/verbal communication skills, fluent in English
