Call Handler

Our public sector client based in Sunderland is looking to recruit Call Handler's to work within their integrated Health and Social Care Single Point of Contact.

The salary for this position is £8.85 (Pro-Rata for part time hours worked). Enhancements after 12 weeks.

To work night shift 4 on 4 off 36 hours per week. Shifts are 20.30 or 20.45 start and 7.30 am finish.

As a Call Handler, you will be a key point of contact for professionals and patients. You will collect and record information, identify people in need of an immediate response, direct callers to clinical colleagues for further assessment or direct callers to social care colleagues to find an intermediate care solution.

We are looking for suitably qualified/ experienced staff to commence April 2017

• Excellent customer care
• The ability to cope under pressure
• A positive caring outlook and enabling attitude
• Good IT and typing skills
• Have excellent written and communication skills
• Enjoy a challenge and be flexible in your approach to work
• The ability to work evenings weekends and bank holidays

Recovery at Home aims to support people with health and social care needs to stay in their own home rather than being admitted to hospital or into long term care. It provides support to people when they are discharged from hospital, helps people to remain independent and helps to identify any on-going needs.
