Job Title: Call Centre Operator/ Call Handling Agent

Location: Crawley RH10

Salary from £9.00 per hour, rising to £11.00 after 3 months employment

Job Type: Fulll time, temporary, ongoing

Hours: 12pm- 8pm Monday -Friday with occasional Saturday shifts.

The shift/ hours are set by our client are non negotiable

Our client, the UKs leading parcel delivery company are looking to recruit Call Centre Operator/ Call Handling Agentfor an ongoing temporary assignment

Ideally you will have your own transport or live close to the depot as the nearest train station is more than 2 miles away, and buses are very infrequent

Please note that interview/ registrations will take place in Morden SM4 and all applicants need to be available within 2 weeks

Although this is mainly phone work, it is preferred that applicants have some form of warehouse experience to be able to help out with other areas of the business when required

This is a heavily customer service based role, and will involve complaint handling. It is a busy call centre we expect pervious call centre experience and basic IT skills. On average you take 45-70 incoming calls a day. We have a set way of answering and dealing with customer enquiries and training will be given

Job role & responsibilities

- Being the first point of contact for all enquiries coming into the depot
- Responding to questions & queries over the phone/ via email
- Providing customers with accurate information regarding delivery times
- Liasing with Drivers and updating them with instructions
- Dealing with customer complaints
- Booking out parcels from missed deliveries
- Following up all enquiries within a timely manner
- All associated administration tasks, including typing, filing etc
- Booking parcels onto the system using in-house IT systems
- Providing 5* customer service at all times
- Occasional work is required in the warehouse, e.g checking details on a parcel

Applicants Must:

- Be available to work the stated hours
- Have a minimum of 6 months call centre/customer service background
- Come from a call centre background with a strong emphasis on complaint handling
- Be able to provide excellent customer service at all times
- Have an excellent telephone manner with a polite and personable nature
- Have a good grasp of both verbal and written English
- Have excellent keyboard skills, accurate data entry skills and be proficient with Microsoft office packages
- Be confident in dealing with customers face-to-face, including resolving complaints
- Be able to lift parcels up to 30kg
