An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, forward thinking, design, distribution and installation company specialising in steel floor decking systems throughout the United Kingdom. Operating out of modern offices in Chepstow, the company is looking to enhance the Drawing Office team with the addition of a new CAD Technician.

The successful candidate will be working in a team of five, with the main duties as follows: -

• Production of technical drawings for the supply and installation of metal decking in steel framed buildings.
• Liaising with customers' design teams to coordinate designs.
• Scheduling materials, production of purchase orders and liaising with suppliers/ manufacturers.
• Liaising with customers to coordinate material deliveries.
• Producing design calculations using a technical software program.

Essential skills required for the role: -

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD LT (2D) CAD desirable. Will consider applicants with limited/ no experience as training can be provided.
• Good computing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly Excel.
• Good numeracy skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy (vital).
• Good organisation skills - being able to work methodically and prioritise workload are also essential.
• A willingness to actively liaise with other members of staff and customers when necessary.

Full in-house training will be provided.

Standard Hours

• Monday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
• Tuesday - Thursday: 8.00am - 5.00pm
• Friday: 8.00am - 3.00pm
