CAD Technician - Near Colchester - Salary up to £25,000
A leading manufacturing company producing high quality construction products require a CAD Technician/Designer. You will work within a small team liaising with Architects and Engineers to establish requirements which will then be translated into working drawings for manufacture and the installation teams. If you are a CAD Technician or a CAD Designer with some experience or qualifications in the building and construction industry and have your own transport then this role could be the next step in your career.

CAD Technician Duties:
Using AutoCAD and Excel to produce layout drawings and calculations.
Liaise with clients, architects & engineers via telephone and email to obtain design details, comments and approvals for working drawings.
Work alongside senior designers and engineers to amend drawings, issue manufacturing schedules, issue drawings, update database and raise adjustments
CAD Technician Essential Experience:
Excellent AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills are highly desirable
Excellent organisational & communication skills
Knowledge of the construction industry
Good time management and a sense of urgency
A confident and professional telephone manner
A high level of computer literacy
Previous building design or construction experience
Construction related qualifications
Must have own transport due to location
CAD Technician Desirable Experience:
Manufacturing experience for the construction industry
HNC/HNC Building and construction
NB the company may consider someone who is interested in starting a career with CAD and is seeking an apprenticeship
Salary and benefits:
Salary up to £25,000 depending on skills and experience
40 Hours per week (Monday-Friday) 8.00 - 5.00 or 9.00 - 6.00 with 1 hours lunch.
23 Days Holiday + 8 Statutory bank Holidays
