C++ Software Engineer :: Initial 6 Month Contract :: £550-750 per day

Well known firm in the financial heart of London are looking to hire a number of contract C++ Developers to join their world class teams of technologists. The successful candidates will have a real passion for technology and be competent in not only C++ but see languages simply as tools to solve problems so will naturally be able to lend their hands to others such as Java or Python.

This is a real fast paced environment where ideas, projects and systems are implemented in an Agile fashion. The majority of work will be undertaken with C++ on Linux with the front end built in JavaScript.

The roles and responsibilities for these London based Software Engineer positions are highlighted below

  • Undertake projects throughout the entire SDLC from gathering requirements though to coding, testing and deployment.
  • On a day to day basis solve highly complex problems and understand the impact of your work
  • Work in a fully collaborative manner with your fellow developers.


The main skills & experience needed for these London based Software Engineer positions are highlighted below

  • Excellent experience in Object Orientated design, programming and algorithms
  • A minimum of 5 years commercial experience within C++ on Linux/Unix
  • Experience with Low-Latency, Multithreading, STL or Boost
  • Technical proficiency in at least one other development language such as Java or Python
  • Strong interest in finance and ideally commercial experience within this area
