Our client is a leading platform that operates to collect data from various sources. Their clients include Broadcasters worldwide as well as the largest internet and media platforms. They have a wide range of technologies, from full stack web technologies, relational databases, pattern recognition server farms, AI and machine learning, large distributed databases and storage devices holding media assets. 

They are deeply technical and looking for someone who is able to work fluently with in house technologists and clients worldwide. They are based in Central London and have an open and happy culture full of bright and creative minds many of whom are passionate about technology. 

Job Description
We are looking for a Dev engineer / Devops with a strong mathematical background to join our
technical team.

? Main duties and responsibilities:
? Day-to-day running of the database building/audio-recognition systems, and maintenance of
the code
? Development and operation of the condor job clusters
? Development and operation of the nfs/ceph/hdfs storage clusters
? Development of monitoring/management consoles and reporting for all the above
? Monitoring in general

Key Skills Essential
? Unix and Linux administration
? Scripting and programming (especially Python and C, C++)
? Test-based development
? Experience with any of: distributed systems or "big data" processing; cluster file systems;
centralised configuration management
